The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) is seeking proposals from consultants or professionals with significant expertise in residential solar photovoltaic (“PV”) installations in Massachusetts to serve as Solar Technical Consultants under MassCEC’s 2012 Solarize Massachusetts (Solarize Mass) program. The Solar Technical Consultants will be responsible for providing technical assistance to MassCEC and each participating Green Community (each a “Green Community”, together the “Green Communities”) in reviewing installer proposals as they select solar PV Installers to partner with under the Program, and to provide technical assistance to MassCEC and the Green Communities during the implementation of the Program. MassCEC anticipates selecting at least two (2) Solar Technical Consultants to partner with under the Program.

MassCEC in partnership with the Department of Energy Resources (DOER), is currently reviewing 24 proposals from 31 Green Communities to participate in the 2012 Solarize Mass program, and plan to announce the selection of at least ten Green Communities on April 12, 2012.

While the review process to select the participating Green Communities is ongoing, MassCEC is requesting proposals for Solar Technical Consultants to work with the MassCEC to assist each Green Community in evaluating the Installer proposals, including, but not limited to, the proposed equipment, price adders, template contract terms, and the proposed plans for providing quality installations and assurance to the customers. Applicants may be individuals, sole proprietors, professional consultants or companies with multiple employees.
